White Water Rafting for Families

Käylä-Juuma

On weekly program Mon-Sun at 12 noon and 4pm

You will meet your guide in our summer office at Juuma village, where you will get all the equipment needed (raincoat and pants, rubber boots, helmet and life vest). Transportation by car to Käylä village from where our rafting trip starts. Your guide will give you safety instructions before you head off to the river.

The route follows River Kitkajoki from Käylä back to Juuma where we started from. On this 14 km route you will experience 7 rapids and beautiful surroundings. White water classifications I-III.

Stella Polaris Adventures is the most experienced river rafting company in Kuusamo.

You will meet your guide near Juuma village from where you will get all the equipment needed (raincoat and pants, rubber boots, helmet and life vest). Your guide will give you safety instructions before you head off to the river.

You will experience the three biggest rapids of River Kitkajoki and admire the biggest one, Jyrävä, from the shore. River rafting continues via smaller rapids to Vattumutka. After the rafting trip we will hike about 300 m to the car. Transfer back to the starting point. White water classifications: III-IV.

Route: Niskakoski II, Myllykoski IV, Aallokkokoski IV, Jyrävä VI (walk around) Heinäkoski I-II, Vattumutka.
