Snowmobile Adventure to Riksgränsen, Sweden

11.-15.4.2027

The Björkliden/Riksgränsen area is one of the most popular freeride snowmobiling destinations in northern Sweden. The region offers varied terrain and riding conditions at different elevations, reaching up to 1,600 metres.

Swedish legislation allows snowmobiling outside designated trails, although the area also has an extensive trail network. On our tours, we ride through the mountains in search of suitable terrain for riding academy exercises and freeride practice.

For lunch, we stop at a mountain lodge along the way, where you can enjoy a meal in a relaxed Central European alpine atmosphere.

Day 1

We meet the group in Björkliden and settle into our accommodation at the Kåppas cabins. After check-in, we prepare for the days of snowmobiling ahead and take part in an avalanche safety course. The course covers the use of avalanche safety equipment and the essentials of travelling safely in mountain terrain.

Day 2

On our first full day of riding, we head across Lake Torneträsk to practise the fundamentals of mountain snowmobiling on gentler slopes. During the riding academy, we focus on techniques such as sidehilling, carving and safe drops.

Lunch is enjoyed in Björkliden. At the end of the day, we return to our accommodation for dinner and a relaxing sauna.

Day 3

Today, we head higher into the mountains towards Riksgränsen. The area offers varied terrain and challenges for riders of different skill levels. Throughout the day, our guide introduces more advanced mountain riding techniques, allowing everyone to develop their skills at their own pace.

We stop for lunch at a cosy mountain hut along the way. In the evening, we return to our accommodation for dinner and sauna.

Day 4

Our final full day of riding is all about enjoying some of the best terrain and scenery the area has to offer. Our guides take the group to some of their favourite spots, giving you the chance to experience mountain snowmobiling at its best.

We stop for lunch in the mountains, and in the evening, we celebrate the adventure with a farewell dinner and look back on the highlights of the trip.

Day 5

After an early breakfast, we load the snowmobiles onto the trailers and prepare for the journey home. The adventure comes to an end with unforgettable memories of Sweden’s spectacular mountain scenery and unique freeride experiences.

Accommodation

The cabin has cooking facilities. Björkliden Fjällby Hotel is just a short walk away, where breakfast, lunch and dinner are available.

The cabin also has a sauna and an outdoor hot tub, so remember to bring your swimsuit.

Guests arrive in Björkliden with their own vehicle unless otherwise agreed. Rental snowmobiles will be transported to the destination, and we will meet the group directly in Björkliden.
